About the center
The Center for the Future of Learning and Work (CFLW) is designed to convene, curate, accelerate, and commission leading-edge research and practice on the next iteration of human formation and effort. We work not only to renegotiate the relationship of learning and work, but to offer a robust and constructive vision of the kind of world that we can and must build for the whole human family.
We engage in this work in a number of ways:
By engaging, translating, and elevating research and practice that models the kinds of future we wish to build towards.
By convening scholars, practitioners, and innovators to tackle some of the most urgent and interesting questions about the future of learning and work.
By publishing content, commentary, and research that advances our collective capacity for world-building and a human-centered future.
our vision
amplifying impact, accelerating innovation
Groundbreaking work on the future of learning and work is already underway around the globe. Yet, traditional institutional structures often hinder the swift sharing of insights and best practices. CFLW dismantles these barriers by serving as a dynamic platform to:
Showcase and disseminate influential research and practices.
Convene diverse stakeholders to foster collaboration and collective innovation.
Accelerate the adoption and scaling of impactful strategies and solutions.
Bridging the worlds
of Learning and Work
For centuries, learning and work have been seen as distinct, disconnected spheres. This separation has created critical gaps—students entering the workforce feel unprepared, and workplaces lack meaningful avenues for continuous learning. As technological advancements such as Generative AI disrupt industries, this division grows unsustainable. CFLW is committed to renegotiating this relationship by:
Bridging formal education and workplace realities.
Creating frameworks for meaningful lifelong learning.
Addressing the urgent global challenge of reskilling and upskilling.
